In conventional single-crystal field-effect transistors (vacuum or air-gap dielectric), record room-temperature hole mobilities are around 15–20 cm² V⁻¹ s⁻¹, rising to about 40 cm² V⁻¹ s⁻¹ as an intrinsic, contact-corrected value — among the highest for any organic semiconductor, though now matched by some thiophene-based materials. Transport follows a band-like temperature dependence, the mobility rising on cooling, and is strongly anisotropic, fastest along the b-axis.
