These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of www.norrchemica.com ("Site") and the purchase of products from NorrChemica™ ("we", "us", "our").
By placing an order through this Site, you confirm that you are purchasing the products for laboratory research or technical applications, that you have the technical competence to handle them safely, and that you accept these Terms in full.
1. Products and Use
All products sold through this Site are intended for laboratory research and technical applications only (Research Use Only — RUO). Products are not intended for human or veterinary use, as food additives, or for household applications. By purchasing, you confirm that you have the technical competence to handle the products safely and in accordance with the supplied Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
2. Orders and Pricing
All prices are listed in EUR and are inclusive of the stated product cost. For DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) destinations, duties and taxes are prepaid by NorrChemica. Prices are subject to change without notice. An order is confirmed only upon receipt of payment or acceptance of a purchase order.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including orders where pricing errors have occurred, where we are unable to verify the buyer's details, or where we have a reasonable concern regarding the intended use of a product.
3. Payment
Payment is accepted via bank transfer through Wise (TransferWise) or by manual invoice. Payment must be made to the verified beneficiary SynFinn Discovery Oy only. We do not request payment via cryptocurrency, gift cards, or any method other than bank transfer to our verified accounts.
For institutional purchase orders, Net 7–14 day payment terms may be offered at our discretion following credit approval.
4. Shipping and Delivery
Shipments are dispatched from Helsinki, Finland via tracked courier services (UPS, Matkahuolto, Posti, or equivalent). Estimated delivery times are provided on product pages and in our Shipping Policy but are not guaranteed.
Risk of loss passes to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier. For DDP shipments, we remain responsible for customs clearance and duty payments.
Certain products classified as dangerous goods are subject to shipping restrictions and may only be dispatched to EU or EU/UK destinations, as indicated on the product page.
5. Returns and Refunds
Due to the nature of chemical products and applicable safety regulations, opened or unsealed products are non-returnable and non-refundable once dispatched. If you are a private individual buying as a consumer, this does not remove your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law.
Refunds or replacements may be issued at our discretion in the following cases: non-delivery confirmed by carrier tracking, products damaged in transit, incorrect product dispatched by us, or products that fail to meet the specifications stated on the Certificate of Analysis (CoA). Claims must be reported within 7 days of delivery. Full details are available in our Refund Policy.
6. Product Specifications and Documentation
We provide a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (CoA) and a GHS-compliant Safety Data Sheet (SDS) with every order. Product specifications, including purity, are as stated on the CoA for the specific lot shipped. Specifications listed on the website are typical values and may vary between batches within the stated tolerance.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site — including product descriptions, scientific application texts, blog articles, images, and the NorrChemica™ brand — is the property of SynFinn Discovery Oy and is protected by copyright. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use of any content without written permission is prohibited.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SynFinn Discovery Oy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our products or this Site. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price of the product giving rise to the claim.
We do not warrant that products are suitable for any particular application beyond the specifications stated on the CoA. The buyer is solely responsible for determining the suitability of any product for their intended use.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or from purchases made through this Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Helsinki, Finland.
For EU consumers, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation. The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
10. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
